In 2002 a young lady, from a sheep farm in Australia, opened a small school in Northern Tanzania with the help of her family, friends and her local Rotary Club. What started with only a handful of children is now a thriving school of over 500. This school has the potential to really influence the quality of Tanzania's future leaders.

What makes this school even more special is the fact that this success comes about due to the group effort of thousands of ordinary people from all over the world coming together to do something quite extra-ordinary. Individuals, families and service clubs are joining forces by supporting the school's various sponsorship programs.

If this is what such a team effort can achieve in a few short years, then imagine what could be achieved in ten years!

Storybook Island Sponsor-for-a Day Program
Year 2004 was the 17th year of this activity. $25,000 was raised in 2004. Through this activity, the Club has raised approximately $366,000 for Storybook Island.

Monday Night Football Books
Year 2004 was the 18th year of this fundraising activity. To date, the total fund raised with this activity is about $203,000. Over fifty percent (50%) of the funds raised (the profit) help fund other service projects including $45,000 given to Storybook Island.
